    Civil Air Patrol website

    This is my first attempt at HTML. It is based on a template that I modified quite a bit to work for me. Thanks to this site, I don't have to update the sidebar on every single page, every single time! I'm ready for positive and negative feedback, so let it rip!

    Looks quite nice, however the main text could do with a bit of padding to take t away from the left edge. Also the text size is a bit small on the navigation headers.

    Looks good, as weazel said more padding.

    And that banner at the top looks kind of cheesy for some reason.

    The code is bad - consider using CSS for your layout instead of the good ol' table element
    Also, the main banner could do with being bigger and having some top padding/margin on it to take it away from the top of the page.

    Thanks for the quick feedback.

    I tried to figure out how to add space on the left. Now that I know it's called padding, I'll find the code to add it. Good point about the banner, I'll probably redo it when I get some time.

    also, the tezt of the top banner could use a bit more contrast with the background... as is its a bit hard to read

    Okay, I tried adding the padding tag to my styles sheet and it doesn't seem to work. Where should I put the tag? Below is my styles.css file for your reference.

    Code:
    body,td,th {
    	font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    	font-size: 10px;
    	color: #000000;
    }
    body {
    	margin-top: 0px;
    	margin-bottom: 0px;
    	background-color: #003388;
    }
    a:link {
    	color: #003366;
    }
    a:visited {
    	color: #003366;
    }
    a:hover {
    	color: #006699;
    }
    a:active {
    	color: #006699;
    }

    H1 {text-align=left; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; color: #006699;}
    H2 {text-align=left; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; color: #0074AE;}
    H3 {text-align=left; font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-style:italic; color: #8D96A5;}
    Thanks for your help.

    Was it ever good?
