Not sure which I like better, but I'd definitely use consistent fonts on the page. I'd get rid of the serif font.

Ok, I got rid of serif, you didn't mean to include sans-serif, did you? Thanks.

Right now the first page has the text "Knowledge NoteBook Makes Study Easier" in a serif font. That's the font I'd get rid of, in favor of some sans serif font.

Dave, currently, the code for that text is, style="font: bold 200% Georgia, Times; color:#3366CC", it was style="font: bold 200% Georgia, Times, Serif; color:#3366CC". Probably your browser is using cache.

    Thanks.

Georgia and Times are serif fonts, that's what I'm suggesting you change. Your other headings are in Verdana, that's a sans serif font.

I prefer the white background one
PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.

There are some interesting articles about font pairing that everyone should know about. And also, proper font sizing ratios make a good visual appearance. Smashing Magazine has another great article about that.

The second one (the one ending .com) looks better, although the logo seems misplaced at the top since the social network buttons are all over it..
