Need help testing a new online game

    Hi all,

I'm working on a new game and need some help testing.
Because it requires two players, I'm having a tough time playing against myself.

If any users could periodically check it out and play a game with another person,
and see if my script crashes or problems occur ... I would be grateful.

I'm planning on using a different webhost for the final version, but am working-out
the details with my current webhost. I'm hoping it can handle the transactions.
I also don't care about the plain graphics or layout ... I'm only testing the actual programming
at this point. I hope to get in touch with a graphic designer to come-up with some good graphics.

    Please read the rules first.
A very easy game to play.

Sort of like tic-tac-toe, but with pieces that have similar traits.
You need to get 4 traits in a row (or quad, if playing that option).
The "twist" is ... YOU hand your opponent the next piece to play!
That sounds like it wouldn't make a difference, but you'll see what that does.

Have fun, and let me know how it works.

    Thanks,
    max

    EDIT:
I've been finding some bugs, thanks to those who are letting
me know ... that helps me out a lot. I added a nice "bleep" sound
to let the player know they need to make a move, so you can do
other things while playing and get "notified" that it's your turn.

I had some cookie cache issues, so I decided to use sessions instead.

I'll keep it up for a while to see if anything else comes about.

    Thanks again,
    max

    Nice idea

Hi, I had a quick game against the computer just to see what the feel of the game is, and I have to say it's quite a good idea you got there. Changes from the now-boring tic-tac-toe

Maybe one quick thing I could suggest:
I thought maybe it would be fun if the peice you were handed hanged onto your mouse until you placed it. That way you don't have to look at the sidebar and you know that it's time to put a piece on the board, not to hand your opponent a peice.
Anyways, a good game and once it's done with better graphics, it'll be cool

At first, it is very confusing. Still, I can't seem to gather the concept.
I'm play both as the computer and player? Is that right? I'm choosing and placing the blocks for both players. I'm also confused on which players turn it is. Surely a big text sing saying "Your turn!", "Computers turn. Please wait".

The computer should have an automated turn.
Also, I had to look around for the 'You win' text. You should swap the 'Your turn' with the text 'You loose' or 'You win'.
Also, a link to explaining 'Quad play' would be good. And this should generally be underneath the title, which should say 'QBotz'.
Anyway, I think the game is good, it could be developed into Flash, and make it much more aesthetically pleasing.
