    Festival Website

Hey, I'd love it if you guys would review this site I did. It was for a competition, but is actually used by my towns festival organization now too.

    heres the link:
    http://www.springartsfestival.org

In the site I made it so users can do applications online, please do not submit any of the forms.
I dont want you guys to spam the people that check the forms.

Please give me your best critiques.

    Thank You

I love the colour scheme and the overall design. I especially like the menus. It looks easy to navigate, and simple. Although it's not valid, it's still pretty cool!

    Looks good:

    • Nice layout/design/color scheme
    • Easy to navigate

    Suggestions:

    • On the home page I would add a little more space between the headers and the content & photos
    • Indent the content under the headers to the right by about 5-10 pixels
    • On the top menu you have to click on the menus to see the sub menus - I would make the sub menu appear as a roll over.
    • On the side menu I change the CSS to display the links as Blocks so the roll over cover the whole width of the menu area

Which came first - the chicken or the egg? The egg... [ticket closed]
If a tree falls... does it make a sound? Yes.............. [ticket closed]

    Technical:
    - Doesn't validate
    - Good: External links open in new windows
    - I would prefer that if you hover over the menu item the submenu comes up, not a click
    - Good: Your headers use an image background, not an entire image, great!

    Design:
    - Looks good
    - There is a tiling background image that is hardly ever visible, I would remove that

    Design
Too many gradients. Im not a lover of gradients :O(
There should be, on mouse hover, the links on the navigation, not just when clicked.
It is very restricting. I think you should use rounded edges on your banner. :O)

    Technical
    Validation
Is there need for a .php page? Is there any PHP on the page? Could speed up loading time. As it took ages to load.

    Hope this helps. :O)
