Suggestions Please - Game Alliance Site

Hello! I'm making a small site for my alliance in an online game i play.

this is what i got so far: http://synergy.nrtdesigns.com/

to make this site I simply modified a template I found. Any suggestions to spice it up?

    thanks!

At the moment it looks like a blog rather than a games website? Don't get me wrong, I really like it... the layout is nice, the colours are good and overall it looks good, but it's not really an online gaming site? It also depends on the game you play as to what you would want it to look like. For example, would you want to use the same colour scheme to make it appear more 'gamey'? Same fonts, and some images from the game? What is the site actually for? What is the game, and what genre of play is it? There are all things to consider when you start really designing the nitty gritty. As a layout I think what you have is good. Turning it into a games site is the tricky part

Hmmm, all good points. The color scheem is what i want (our alliance colors/logo colors).

The tricky part is that is a text based game so there is not much graphics/style, to interprit in my site. I'm gonna keep think though because u are right, it looks more like a blog.
