    Site Reviews

I am trying to create a clean, simple, and fresh design with no clutter or any unnecessary objects. I don't have any content up yet but will come soon.

    clean: yeah
    simple: yeah
    fresh: eh

Don't real ythink it's something that hasn't done before if that's what you mean by "fresh". It looks nice (a little to white for my tastes) and works well enough.

try slapping a min-width of 655px on there too. that'll make the nav line up with the sidebars when minimized.
Stop making things so hard on yourself.

Looks okay, what might help is to remove the underlining from the links mouseover and using alt tags instead. Ive heard this helps with search engines. You could also highlight the contact options in some way to encourage ppl to contact you as you need this to get business.

The logo is pretty cool though. Could also be more vertical, ive heard that sites where people have to scroll down are read more than sites which are kept to one screen size.

Also, blue and green should never be seen. What about a yellow/orange colour. But it looks good and looking forwards to seeing more.

@Powered: Curious as to why you think this?

I think the colors are okay, but they make me think the site is going to be about financial information. I'm not sure why... very low key, cool colors, low energy. If you are doing design work, you might want to add another color or change to a more energetic hue.

I like the nav bar and the way the text and box change to white. This is easily noticed yet doesn't get in the way. By the way, the "articles" box and text change to white and then stay that way. I noticed this box is highlighted all the time. The others go back to light blue after the mouse has moved off.

Personal preference alert: I like to see a bit of color in the background. The reason is that I spend anywhere from 8-12 hours a day (or more) in front of a computer, and the bright white background tends to become very tiring on the eyes. So does grey, even though I know it's supposed to be a neutral color. Even a light tan or blue is a restful respite. A pale blue background with bright white rules or such might spice up your page a bit, without having to change your color scheme.

That is no accident and has a purpose. It shows where you currently are on the website. (it is the "active" button)

color blind people has problems with blue and green. with both colors coming into play, is possible they wont be able to distinguish the colors apart. they might even see a total green or total blue. Also, they have problems focusing on green unless if it's really striking on a neon light.

It's just a bit too simple, imo. It's hard to comment on such a basic site, especially when the content isn't there yet. It's not a bad start. Keep us updated as it progresses.
