    The next BILLION DOLLAR idea??????

Looking for website programmer/s etc willing to work for equity in the site.

Over the last year or so I have been studying the online world and have been fascinated by the money that can be made. After coming up with a couple long shot ideas which are now backburner ideas I took a good look at where and why the people are.

World of Warcraft intrigued me as to why people throw away their lives to play a game that has no reward in the end. Plus they pay to do it. After discussing it with some gamers I realize that they just want to be better and go farther than each other on there.

I have never used it but Facebook is another intriguing one for me. Facebook should be running the world by now but are still scrambling to make shareholders money, in a sense. Facebook grew and grows for the sole fact that people know other people.

I have taken both these concepts and a few others and merged them into one, resulting in a fairly simple free use site. Grandma will even use it because she knows her grandson needs her help to be better and go farther than everyone else. And grandmas friends will help grandma help her grandson and so on. People will be forced (by choice, if that makes sense) to use the site.

This is a game but not the traditional gamers game. Not a video game. The least knowledgable internet user to the most advanced can use it.

The viral potential in this is massive. Like i say, if your wife gets into it she will MAKE you do it. The upside to being MADE to do your part is that the part of a forced member is so low impact that they will do it on a regular basis when they are asked.

Marketing should be easy enough because the word of mouth concept will be used. People will need people to help them advance so they will be getting others to sign up.

The potential for huge revenue is here. When it gets going it wont stop. Unlike Facebook, I know how to use mass members to make money. The way I see it, even being realistic, this could be a billion dollar idea. Keeping people coming back on a regular basis whether they want to or not is massive.

The site will be fairly difficult with alot of background 'user does this then this happens`. Lots of database functioning. There is nothing to buy, nothing to sell, nothing to post, upload, or download. Average user time on site will be only a couple minutes but on a regular basis.

I am working on some investors to pay for the site build but so far I can only offer a negotiated percent of earnings after site goes live. Which would be much more lucritive anyways.

I wont be answering replies if they are just copy pasted generic replies that I see all over. I want to know you have read and are genuinely interested in know more and being part of this.
My preference will be someone from Alberta or Saskatchewan Canada just for the face to face but everyone will be considered.

Pretty sure this has never been done and I have already protected myself against it being stolen but non disclosure will be utilized.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. This is the first place I have put this on the internet and I hope it is the only place I will need to.

Sorry but I have to chime in on this.

The video game industry as a whole took in 11.7 billion in 2008. This is the total for all games. Now an online game can easily make $200k - $500k a year, but not in the millions of millions. I've been a gamer for 27 years, so I know the market and industry of most types of games.

With that said, you can't say "I have a billion dollar idea, let's make it". You didn't even give any details on it. You will need to build a coding manual and stick to it instead of whatever comes to your head at the moment. For a project like this, be prepared to pay an upwards of $50,000 - $75,000 for programming, not including the graphics.

You are very correct in everything you say.

But this isn't a game in that way. There are no graphics or anything else that comes with a 'video' game. Just a website.

Maybe a better word would be quest.

Can you break down the structure of it so more people would be interested? Keeping it a super secret is a turn off for programmers, agreeing to something unknown. If it's a hard and complex project, then nobody is going to copy the idea.

Just trying to be helpful, not tear you down.

people signup and log into a normal basic website.

the site has to keep track and display on demand to other players all kinds of statistics of players--logins, skills, points, wins, losses, achievements, helps etc

There will be as many teams as are made and can be 1 player team to unlimited number on a team. Obviously the bigger the team the more of an advantage you have but doesnt mean you cant be taken down by a tiny team.

players of a team can communicate openly with everyone on the team but can only challange someone from another team.

there will be a panel of judges to judge competitions and challenges.

majority of challenges will happen on site, some will happen on other sites and the high profile high stakes challenges will be live.

wont say to much about challenges except there will be many kinds and can be player to player or multi player to multi player.

There is a main theme and goals that can be made and lost.

Of course there is more but maybe this will get some bites.

I have started fund raising so possible can pay but so far have raised 3 bucks lol this link http://igg.me/p/383567/x/2974394 will take you to my campaign at indigogo.com.

this game was specifically designed to be a big marketing tool so it is designed to make money.

Hmmmm, I broke a few things down and when I posted it a message said it had to be approved first.

How long should I wait before checking into it or trying to post again.

It was a good one too.
