    New version!

    Hello everyone,

    I have just finished updating the paid-for version of my software. New in this version:

    1. Added metadata (ID3 tag) editor for files converted to MP3 format.
    2. The ringtone creation tool has been renamed/re-imagined as a more general "cropping" tool.
    3. The MP3 metadata editor has been combined with the cropping tool on the same page following conversion -- a page now dedicated to "post-conversion" editing. In the future, I'd like to allow other file types (in addition to MP3) to be edited via this page.
    4. Further tweaking of multi-language functionality
    5. Various (minor) bug fixes and refactoring of code

    Extensive modifications were made to the software in this release. So many, in fact, that I have included a 'reports' directory in this ZIP distribution to clearly identify which code has changed since the previous version. Each report shows a side-by-side, graphic comparison of the previous and current versions of a given file.

    The following files were changed/added:

    1. css/styles.css** updated
    2. css/jquery-ui-1.7.1.custom.css deleted
    3. inc/static_page_header.php** updated
    4. js/Jplayer.swf updated
      • Jplayer flash player has been completely replaced with a newer version

    5. js/jquery.jplayer.min.js** updated
      • Jplayer source code has been completely replaced with a newer version

    6. js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js deleted
    7. js/jquery-ui-1.7.1.custom.min.js deleted
    8. langs/** updated
      • Replace the contents of the existing 'langs' directory with the 'langs' directory files in this new version!
      • Clear sessions/cookies in your browser to see the new languages.

    9. ringtones/ renamed

      • The directory has been renamed to 'output_edited'.

    10. vendors/ new
      • Intended to contain scripts from 3rd-party developers. (Each new script added should get its own folder for future compatibility.)
      • Currently contains script for reading ID3 tags.

    11. 1223.png moved
      • The file has been moved to 'css/images/1223.png'.

    12. Config.class.php** updated
    13. ringtone.php** renamed

      • The file has been renamed to 'edit.php'.

    14. ffmpeg_ringtone.php** renamed
      • The file has been renamed to 'ffmpeg_edit.php'.

    15. index.php** updated
    16. Localize.class.php** updated
    17. schedule.php** updated

    ** See corresponding report in 'reports' directory in attached ZIP file for line-by-line illustration of code changes

    If you create a new language file for the software, please donate the file to the code base so that others can benefit from your translations! Simply send me a copy of your updated index.xml file as well as your new *.xml translation file, and I will add it to the software in a future release!

    All previous customers who have purchased the paid-for version of my app are receiving this new, updated version via the e-mail addresses that you provided at Tradebit.com.

    Please report any issues with either the paid-for version or the free version in this forum thread. Your feedback is encouraged. Donations are welcome!

    Thanks!
    Regards, R.J.

    Hi,

    In index.php, you need to edit the corresponding links (<a> tags) in the showConversionResult() JavaScript function. So you would simply convert those text links to <input> or <button> tags, and then attach the translated text to the button "value" attribute.

    Hope it helps!
    Regards, R.J.

    yes you helped me, but I sure do not understand where and how I can do that. do you imagine this?

    Code:
    showConversionResult(convertedFile, convertedFileNiceName, retVals[2]);

    Aside from actually writing the code for you, there is not much else I can say. The text links that you want to convert to buttons are contained in the showConversionResult() JavaScript function. In that function, there is a JS variable "convertSuccessMsg" that contains the actual HTML markup that is output following a successful conversion. Your text links are contained in this HTML markup. So then it becomes a matter of changing the links in this markup, in this general format:
    Code:
    <a href="dosomething.php">translated text</a>
    ...to something like this format:

    Code:
    <input type="button" value="translated text" onclick="doSomething();" />
    Does this clarify things for you?

    Yes that is the correct code in index.php. So edit the links (in red text) and change them to buttons:

    Code:
    				var isMP3 = /(\.mp3)$/i.test(convertedFile);
    				convertSuccessMsg += '<p><?php echo Success_Message; ?></p><p style="width:380px"><a href="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>?output=' + encodeURI(convertedFile) + '"><?php echo Download_File_Message; ?></a>';
    				<?php if (Config::_ENABLE_DROPBOX_SAVING) { ?>
    					convertSuccessMsg += ' <?php echo _Orr; ?> <a id="dropboxLink" href="http://<?php echo $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . Config::_APPROOT . Config::_CONVERTED_FILEDIR; ?>' + encodeURI(convertedFile) + '"><?php echo Save_To_Dropbox_Text; ?></a>';
    				<?php } ?>
    				convertSuccessMsg += (isMP3) ? ' <?php echo _Orr; ?> <a href="edit.php?vid_name=' + encodeURI(convertedFile) + '" title="<?php echo strip_tags(Edit_File_Further_Help_Text); ?>"><?php echo Edit_File_Further_Message; ?></a>' : '';
    				convertSuccessMsg += '<?php echo Period; ?></p>';
    			}

    Hi,

    Both the free and commercial versions of the software work with YouTube URLs formatted with "watch?v=".

    The demo site is working fine: http://www.musicvideo2mp3.com/index.php

    Which videos are not converting for you? Are the videos blocked in the server's country? Are these age-restricted videos?
    Regards, R.J.

    Hello,

    The main Error which is coming is that the Video isn't allowed to watch on other sites than on youtube directly. Most of them are VEVO'S and videos with large views. That means that the video can be downloaded if you parse the urls from watch?v= and not from get_video_info... . Do you understand what i mean?

    Regards

    Thomas
