    You could probably do this with a MySql database..

    the coloumns and 2 example entries...
    Code:
    ID     rollnum       subject        result       date
    0       4069         maths            D          17-2-06
    1       4912         english           F          15-1-05

    then u cud echo them out with a query.

    Find out if you have access to a mysqlDB u can use then get in touch

    Double post

    First of all, please don't post the same question twice; if you've made a mistake, remove one of them before anyone answers to it (after that, only a moderator can remove it) so these forums stay clean.

    Second, how can you expect someone to solve your problem if you have little or no knowledge? Building a system as you described involves a lot more than you probably realize; even if a ready-made application would exist that would satisfy your needs, installing and maintaining it would still require some basic knowledge of what you're doing.

    You may want to have a look at Centre.
    Regards,
    Ronald.

    will do...

    View.php
    PHP Code:
    <?php

    // Set Variables

    $mysql_server "localhost"
    $mysql_username "uzair"
    $mysql_password "psswd"
    $mysql_database "resultsdb"
    $mysql_table "results";

    if(isset(
    $_GET[rollnum])){

    // Mysql conection

    mysql_connect("$mysql_server""$mysql_username""$mysql_password");

    mysql_select_db("$mysql_database");

    // Query db

    $result mysql_query("SELECT * FROM $mysql_table WHERE rollnum='$_GET[rollnum]'");

       echo
    "<p>Results for Roll Number $_GET[rollnum]</p>";

       echo
    "<table border=\"1\" style=\"border-collapse: collapse\" width=\"100%\" id=\"table1\">\n<tr>\n<td>Subject</td>\n<td>Result</td>\n<td>Date</td>\n</tr>";

    // Show results

    while($row mysql_fetch_array($result)){
          echo
    "<tr>";
          echo
    "<td>$row[subject]</td>";
          echo
    "<td>$row[result]</td>";
          echo
    "<td>$row[date]</td>";
          echo
    "</tr>";
       }
    }else{
       echo
    "<form method=\"GET\" action=\"view.php\">\n<p><input type=\"text\" name=\"rollnum\" size=\"20\"><input type=\"submit\" value=\"Enter\"></p>\n</form>";
    }

    ?>
    Ask if you need help with entering data aswell, you can MSN me at goughy000@msn.com

    or just post here

    EDIT: make sure you set the variables at the top to your settings, if you dont want to host your own database server then you could get a free one at freesql.org make sure you read how the keep there systems under control though so you know what to do if your database goes down

    1 - how to establish localhost for PhP, is there any software like "Personal WEB Server usually bundled in windows CD" ... ?

    2 - Same question is for mySQL support , i know a lil bit about MS-Access , i can follow SQL Statements & syntex but how can i enable my system to support these MySQL + PhP , so I could test my work over my local host.

    There is a program called XAMPP that is apache (web server), php, mysql and some other things all bundled together.

    its free and works in windows.

    all you have to do is download and install it

    The latest windows version is here: http://www.apachefriends.org/downloa...-installer.exe
