    Database("related" scsript)

    Ok im not sure which I should use PHP or CGI(php sounds easier).
    My site has maps for download. What I want to do is have a related maps link on a page. I can use Mysql and already have the database set up.
    using this:
    PHP Code:
    $dbh=mysql_connect ("localhost""adamswo_cat""<PASSWORD HERE>") or die ('I cannot connect to the database because: ' mysql_error());
    mysql_select_db ("adamswo_cat");
    I was thinging the link could be something like
    I am looking for three scripts:
    1. a script to set it up with 3 cols
    col 1: map name
    col 2: map type
    col 3: link to map
    2. a script to put all the data into the table
    3. a script to pull all the data with a matching type out and insert it into a
    page with the mapname as a link.
    It doewsnt seem like it would be taht complicated but im new to mysql and only some knowledge of php.
    Why not thank me?

    Well someone may be willing to do it for free but everyone has to start somewhere, so i would reccomend you give this a go yourself... Have you looked into fetching and inserting information into a database?

    You can find some great beginner SQL tutorials and (i believe) some PHP tutorials too at http://www.w3schools.com
