form output with "save file as" .doc

    Hi there

I have a form on my site with many inputs. After submitting the form a new page is called and inserts the form fields into the relevant parts of the page in order to create a "report".

I would like a button/link on the "report" page so that when clicked, it pops up a dialogue box allowing the user to "Save As" (i.e. the web page). Ideally, I would like the save as dialogie box to give the .doc extension if possible.

I know the user only has to click File - Save As - and then change the extension, but to make things easier....!

Word can read the webpage file (as I have saved as a .doc) and then the user can edit the form/document if need be at a later date.

The file does not have to be submitted to me, it is for the use of the user only.

Hope I have made myself clear!
    See ya

    Hi marek_mar

Thank you for your reply. I'm still relatively new to php and this may be a little beyond my experience. I've taken a look and am a tad confused! Not sure how to use the header function.

I'll have to read up on it!

    Thank you once again.
    See ya
