What are the risks of moving a server to enable SSH?

I need to enable SSH on my company's server to work on some critical PHP and MySQL for our website. When I was going to enable it on GoDaddy, it warned me that we would have to move servers to enable this. We need to enable SSH, but at the same time we don't want to risk breaking our site beyond repair. Since we're using Wordpress as our CMS, the pieces that make up our pages are all over the place and it would be difficult to find and repair them individually if they do break. (I'm referring to headers, footers, etc.)

Realistically, what could happen when we move our server? That is, what are the exact risks and do they outweigh the benefits?

(See attached screenshot for the exact message from GoDaddy)
