1. ## Mortgage Calculator - Cannot Subtract in Formula

Hi Everyone. I need an urgent help with this mortgage calculator. I had the code from here: http://www.loansanddebts.com/view.ph...lator_code.php

and below is the actual copy of it. the problem is im trying to subtract 50,000
from \$down_payment but it gives me the wrong output. i don't know what keeps it fromgiving me the wrong computation.

I already tried declaring 50000 in a variable instead of subtracting from the
formula directly, but still im no hope in figuring it out.

• The actual calculation is not your problem. It's more likely an issue with variable naming or how you handle the data coming into the script or the output going out.

• I ran your code and it worked for me. Can you tell us what you're expecting the value to be and what you're getting?

When I run it with the default values, my down-payment was -35,000, which is technically correct, since the original down-payment was only 15,000.
