    javascript or php text box

I was wondering if there is a way that you could use a div tag as a text box. Like in the google pages creator.

why do you want to do that. I mean a div tag is a div tag a text area is a text area. Can't you just style the text area? I mean what exactly are you trying to do?

Well if you're looking to create a sort of WYSIWYG editor then that's going to be primarily Javascript. The concept is you actually code a textbox, <textarea id="myTextarea"></textarea>, and then use Javascript to find the instance of that textarea and replace it with whatever you want.

If you're just looking to add some badonkadonk to your textarea then it'll be a lot less painful and more user friendly to just stylize using CSS.

Either way I think your best bet will be in either Javascript or HTML/CSS sections.

    Hope this helps!

    Did you mean inline editing?

    e.g.

When user click on his name in his profile page, then a textbox appears, which let him instant editing.

Yes thank you for the posts. I have made a gaming site where someone can make a gaming clan site. The sites that are created are not dynamic they are actually files. I want to make an editor for the pages.

Then you need a WYSIWYG textarea editor.
