    Problem with apache

    i installed the apache on my computer but there is a problem, i typed http://localhost on the browzer, everything is going well till now, but when i press PHPMyAdmin this error message will appear:
    Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) in C:\apache\htdocs\phpmyadmin\lib.inc.php on line 255

    have you already an instance of mysql server running? I had mysql server then installed apache and my original mysql server stopped working but the one under apache works.

    from where can i get an instance of mysql? or how can i make it running?

    http://www.mysql.com (I beleive is the URL)

    If you downloaded something like phpTriad with it, you have MySQL already. Should be in the Start Menu or the directory where it was installed.
