What' sthe best way to allow this user input?

I'm building an entertainment website, and I'd like the bands to be able to update their own gig guide without have to deal with ftp and coding.

I'm not using a database, just php, and was wondering how I'd acheive the following:

    - password access opens a new screen with a form for the band to fill in the date, time, location, and other details of each gig
    - this info gets saved to a gigs.php page in their band directory, which displays in the Gigs DIV of their main band page via an include
    - if possible, gigs older than the current date get deleted automatically

Any ideas how to do this? Would I need a control panel script, or is there a simple way like via the above form?

Use text files. It's possible to read files with the php fread function. As for your first question as in subpoints. I think you should be able to use textfiles as well but with security threads indefinitely. I'll leave the rest to other experienced members and coders to answer the question on functions.
