    SSI call on PHP page?

Is there a way to have an SSI call work on a PHP page? I know I can change the htaccess a bit and have ALL php parse ssi stuff, but I only really need it on one page and don't want to bog the server down making all pages doable.

My page was shtml and does a call to a cgi file. I've switched to php extensions now and want to figure a way to keep this part usable. I've tried using the php include direct to the cgi file and I've tried to put the code on a separate shtml page, then including it onto my php page. No go.

    >> Or do you think there really won't be any more delay/bog considering PHP itself is serverside already thus making it parsing SSI won't cause any further delays anyways?

    Thanks.

You could try the virtual() function.
