    Question Choose append point in PHP

    Okay, I'm learning PHP and I've checked out some tuts online and I have one quick question: Is it possible (and if so how) to choose the point at which you append data into a file?
    Particularly in XML. << I don't think that makes a difference, though

    this is not an important question, so ignore it if your busy

    fopen() and fwrite() only allow you to write to the start or end of a file, you can write to a file stream ut its easier said than done, usually you would load the file contents, parse then resave.

    MVC is the current buzz in web application architectures. It comes from event-driven desktop application design and doesn't fit into web application design very well.     fseek() i think moves the file pointer, but thats okay, i dont need to do this anymore. Just a reference for anyone else who does!
