If i have a cronjob that runs every minute, is that bad for the server?

Cron in itself has a tiny footprint and unix/linux servers can run a gazillion cron jobs simultaneously without batting an eyelash. The script that Cron fires off, on the other hand, may have a huge impact on server resources, especially if that fat pig of a script runs every minute.
