    Recommend a Learning Book - PHP/MYSQL

Can anyone recommend a good book for newbie to PHP to learn about PHP and more advanced PHP and MYSQL so afterwards I have the knowledge to build myself a complete CMS. Not an ebook and one which I can buy in the UK. I need a book which goes into complicated scripts but starts off with a newbies guide

Newbies guide + more advanced later on

You can find this one used on ebay or amazon. I recommend it because
since it's not extremely new, it can be found used for cheap:

PHP for Dummies....aaaah yeah. Actually it's not that bad. I got more out of the Lynda.com videos though.

Seriously though, it's pretty helpful as a reference for a beginner!

PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.

Yeah I went for that. Big name, cheap and someone recommended it to me. Will read it then possibly check some online resources. Thanks for tips. I am eager to start learning.
