Looking to hire someone to review some code

Nearing the end of building my first php driven site, I'd like to hire someone to look over the code and point out what I ought to think about/change - mostly in the name of security, but potentially for anything else too.

I'm not looking for someone to rewrite any code - I want to learn myself by doing it - but I'm conscious that I took on a very ambitious project using passwords, paypal subscriptions, newsletters etc, that really needs to be in good shape for the business to work. I was completely new to programming some 8 months ago and have learnt a lot (and enjoyed it immensely!), but I need, realistically, the eyes of a seasoned pro to check for potential security holes and the like, which, despite my best efforts, may remain.

    Thanks a lot.

I am an adept code reviewer being third amongst hundreds or thousands on phpclasses.org http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/top...ltimereviewers . i have had 6 years experience with web development and coding i can review your code to what ever detail you would like:
    optimisation, security, design, coding-practice

i assume you are paying for this service?

depending on the amount of feed back and the depth of the review the amount could change... if you want an extensive review talking through my observations on an IM client (for example) which could take several hours you could be looking at $100 for a quick security check perhaps $30 depending

    Done!

    Hi ThinkMedical,

Thanks. Once you see how much code there is, and therefore how much effort a thorough analysis may take, you can tell me how much you reckon, but $100 is certainly managebale. (Paypal ok?)

How do we do this? How about you send me a suggestion of how we communicate (perhaps Skype?) and when by email: codingforums AT mathesonbayley DOT com

    BTW, I'm in Greece (GMT+2)

i'm in the UK... GMT + 000 ... my contact info is available at http://www.softnepenthe.com if you add me to an IM client we can continue to discuss this there...

depending on the amount of code and what you require in terms of detail may need to increase that a little... though i shouldnt think so
