    HELP! I am new to programming and need some help

    Ok, first of all, I must say I am not that old, but that dosen't really matter.
    I came here to ask all of you for some help.
    I am new to every programming language (But I have used flash, I mostly just copied codes though). I am hoping to learn up to c++ and then create a 3d game. Once there I was thinking of just trying to make small programs that would go in a mmorpg, such as a working online chat.

    So, basiclly I want to get to create 3d and online games when I get good, but I dont want to make it in some program that won't let me create commercial games. If you tell me to get a program instead of a language, I will try hard to master it and soon go on to a real language. But I don't want to be using some program when I get good, I want a professinal language.

    So, I need somebody to set me on a good path by telling me what language to use and maybe try giving me some tutorials, so that sooner or later I can create 3d games and mmorpg functions.

    Thanks

    You've got a lot of work ahead of you. Sounds like you don't have a lot of programming experience, and games development is one of the most difficult and complex aspect in development.
    First things first, you need to learn how to program. Any language will do, or even algorithms are sufficient. Languages are of little importance in comparison, once you know how to program learning a language (and its limitations) is the simple part.

    For web based communications, you're first goal is to master Java. Java is a strong, object oriented language that is portable, robust and quite safe. Java can be used to develop web chat servers and clients using a variety of methods, including RMI. Do not use a builder to construct you're GUI applications, instead choose to construct it by hand. C/C++ gui's are far more complex in comparison, so you may as well get used to it.
    Once you're familiar with Java, I'd look into PHP, even if its just quickly. It will help you familiarize yourself with C. Next step would be C, followed by C++. Then you can start looking at 3D generation.
    PHP Code:
    header('HTTP/1.1 420 Enhance Your Calm');
    Been gone for a few months, and haven't programmed in that long of a time. Meh, I'll wing it ;)
