    embed html using MySQL database

    Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to MySQL, but getting my head around it gradualy.

Im creating a page where I have a series of links that are actually embedded html.

They best way to organise this in my mind is by using a MySQL database.

I don't know if by using the following below would work for this sort of thing.
    PHP Code:
    echo "
        $title
        <br>
            $myhtml
        "

    Explained:
Title is the title of my link
myhtml is the html I want to imbed onto the site.

    Setting up the MySQL database

I need to set up a field within a table where I can add my html links. What settings do I need to be able to place it?

    For example,
    Title: myhtml
    Type: (I have no idea)??
    Length/Values: could be 300
Not a lot of idea for the restto make it work.

    Appriciate any help, thanks

Forget the database, what are trying to do, use a section as a header to put into all your pages, or something like that? Expand on what your trying to do. Right now I don't think you need to use MySQL at all.

I'm buildinga site that will be selling products for other websites. I will need some sort of filter them leter on and a search which is a bit above my head at the moment.

However, I have managed to get items into a database. For instance if I select a page called 'tops', it will display everything on that page that has the category in the database of tops

Not sure how I'm going to filter it though for mens/womans/kids or run a return search by name :S

Any ideas or recommendations how to do this?
