    Question Source Code

    Gears up for the onslaught of "Doom and gloomers' saying "You can't block source code so don't try" There now you don't need to post it. I know and you know you can't but there are some people who beyond clicking edit, view source code and right clicking a page they DON"T know how to go into your code.
    I found a code awhile ago that greys out the source code option in the edit button and I can't find it again. I know how to do the right click protect but this code actually made the source code impossible to click on. I need that code again and was wondering if anyone might have it.
    I know you can fool some of the people some of the time but ya can't fool all of the people all of the time.

    Thanks in advance for sparring me from the source code lectures

    I'm not willing to help you with this, but here's a site that does something similar, you can steal their code (irony of ironies!) by typing javascript:document.body.innerHTML='<textarea style="width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 0;">'+document.firstChild.innerHTML+'</textarea>'; in the address bar: http://weblockpro.com/home.php

    edit for a better thing to type in the address bar. That's the dumbest cypher I've ever seen. wtg security through obscurity. Please don't anyone buy this stupid junk or anything like it.

    You don't need to be internet-savvy to know how to use Firefox's DOM Inspector or to disable Javascript (some extensions put this option in the toolbar to make it more accessible) or to prevent script to disable contextmenu. You need to grey out those options too.

    I've just come up with this -

    javascript:x=window.open("","y");x.document.write(escape(document.body.innerHTML));

    Then it's just a case of running that through unescape (if you don't escape then the webpage is just displayed).

    Anyone know of any better methods while we're on the subject?!

    There really is nothing new to say here, and it's our policy to close new threads on this subject, because they're a waste of everybody's time and the forum's resources.
