    need to hide js menu in print view

    I have a web page that has a DHTML left navigation menu.

    I need to hide this menu when printing (that is, when calling print.css).

    Is there a function that I can add to the menu script that will hide the menu when the page is using stylesheet print.css? Or alternately, is there something I can define in print.css that will keep the menu from loading?

    The menu is automatically loaded from an external menu.js file and is not loaded from within a specific element. I have set the element that contains it (the horizontal dividers, etc) not to display, however the menu text still appears on top of the text I want to print.

    Any Luck

    I've been battling this same issue. My menu very nicely disappears in IE, but in any mozilla based browser, it still shows up in the print version.

    Would love to hear if you found a solution elsewhere. Thanks!

    .print {
    display: none;
