    'alt' bug in NS4.78?

    copy this img tag below (with no src to see the difference of the alternate text and the tooltip)

    <img alt="X&amp;amp;&amp;lt;1">

    The tooltip is supposed to display X&<1 just like the alternate text displayed, but it displays such that you can read it as 'X is less than or equal to 1'. It displays an underline instead of the ampersand symbol.

    This is a total shot in the dark, but perhaps the ISO values will do you better

    I also came across this issue during our the development of our department web site. NS 4.x simply doesn't display the &'s in ALT tags ... it sees the '&' as an indicator for underlining the following letter (some mumbo jumbo about a "hot key").

    Unless the ampersand is part of your logo, your best bet is to use 'and' or '+' in its place.

    EDIT: Link to show that I'm not making it up.

    It's quoted in the Bible, Revelations ... Behold the pale horse. The man who sat on him was death, and Hell followed with him.
