Using innerHTML in Mozilla
Ok, gonna try this again, same script but hopefully some better responses. I have this Auto Text Animator script that writes out messages letter by letter/word by word. The problem is in gecko-based browsers it flashes a lot after a while. The link is:
I'm hoping that someone might know how to fix this flashing problem. It does not matter if you use innerHTML or a pure DOM method removing all the children and then appending the new one, it still flashes. Two interesting notes: This does not occur in Mozilla 1.0.x/1.1 or NS 7.0x (which uses Mozilla 1.0.x) if that is of any help and if you doesn't remove any of the child elements from the layers and just keep appending new ones, the messages do not flash. Even if you make the child elements have a display of none and then append a new one it flashes. It seem there is no trick in the book to get around this. Any ideas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.- Maximus
