I don't think that a script could tell where a person is from just by them visiting the site, but you could give them the option of selecting their time zone from a dropdown or such.

The getTimezoneOffset() method of the Date object returns the difference in minutes between local time and Greenwich Mean Time

I've got something like that on my site:
    http://arctic.ithium.net/

I've also the date, but can't get that to run with GMT or "getTimezoneOffset()"... any ideas?
