    MaxCDN Pre-Caching Script

    Hey all

I am using Maxcdn and apparently my website files are not automatically cached on all Maxcdns servers worldwide unless there is a visitor first. Obviously, this can cause inconvenience and time delays for first visitors to my site as well it might have an impact on google rankings due to presumably slow loading times.

Is there a script which allows me to pre-cache files by simulating visitors from different world locations? MaxCDN has about 12 servers worldwide and therefore I need to simulate users from a close proximity to these locations.

    many thanks

    Have you tried contacting Maxcdn?

But I would have thought that the answer to "simulating visitors" was no for security reasons.

All the code given in this post has been tested and is intended to address the question asked.
Unless stated otherwise it is not just a demonstration.

yes, they are the ones who suggested this idea! They said some users have been using CURL scripts to achieve this..

if a CDN makes your site slower, then it's not a good CDN and you're better off self-hosting the resources or using something reliable like amazon s3.
