Help: Closing a Window & iFrame Message
Hello, I have two JScript/DHTML related questions.
1. I'm trying to close a window named "lockcheck" (lockcheck.asp). The window is opened on "page1.asp". When the user goes to "page2.asp" I need to close the window automatically. I've tried using "window.lockcheck.close();" on "page2.asp" but this doesn't work.
2. Is there an easy way to include a temporary message in an iFrame? I'm loading an Excel document in an iFrame, but it often takes a while to load. I want to show a message like "Please wait while your document is loading" in the iFrame, to be replaced by the Excel document once it loads.
<iframe name="exceldoc" src="document.xls"></iframe>
Note that these scripts need only work in IE 5+. NS support is not necessary. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
