javascript and different fields of html tables

The code which uses javascript to calculate the sum of several <input> fields stops working when I separate them by placing in fields of <table>.

I guess there must be some workaround in order to contol the page layout.

    What is it?

The workaround involves finding out why the script can't handle the new layout, and that involves one of us being able to look at the code, and you should be able to guess what that involves.
