JavaScript pop-up reminder on specific date

    Hi all,

I have a bunch of (MySql) DateTime values in my MySql DB. They're coupled with a comment. What I'd like is a sort of pop-up box reminder, that displays when one of the DateTime values is reached.

    If the DB has:

    Time: Comment:
    2012-09-07 14:11:00 "Remind me this"

I'd like a reminder to appear that just displays the time and comment. It's a calendar script of sorts.

My best guess is to put the dates into JavaScript variables and then use SetTimeout() maybe... I'm just not sure this is the best way to do it... Actually I quite convinced this is not the best way to do it.

    Can somebody help me?

    Best regards,
    deafdigit

you want to use setInterval to check "are we there yet" every so often.
setting a timer far in advance is less reliable...
