    Simple text carousel?

Hi, I'm looking for a simple javascript snippet that will function like the one at this URL in the top right:

    http://online.wsj.com/public/page/ne...marketing.html

I need the left and right navigation buttons, as well as a display of which slide number is current, e.g. 2/5.

Can anyone reccommend a solution for this? thank you very much.

And what have you tried to do yourself, so far?

You want somebody to just write the code for you? Because?

hey I guess I wasn't clear: I'm looking for a prebuilt plug-in for this functionality, not for someone to write one for me to my specific needs.

After searching around for a while, I found these:

    Tiny Carousel

    Easy Slider

    jCarousel

Have to wonder why they are all jQuery based when this stuff is so simple to do in vanilla JavaScript and then you wouldn't incur the overhead of the jQuery library. Ah, well.
