    what does that mean

    what does that code mean

    if(preg_match("/^[\w\.\-]{1,25}$/", $_GLOBAL['name']) == false) define('ERRMSG', _ERR_NAME);

    and there is a small problem i can`t register a name in arabic

    that script doesn`t based on mysqle so what should i do to make it accept arabic username and spaces too

    The codes you posted are PHP, not javascript. And no, it's not encoded, it is checking if $_GLOBAL['name'] matches a specific format.
