    What the highlight code do?

    Referring to following link, I get no idea on what the highlight code do,
    I would like to retrieve the web page using direct URL coding without using function.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    http://www.dailyfx.com.hk/calendar/index.html

    function setFilter(field, value){
    var params = {};
    params["type"] = "calendar";
    params["date"] = "2011-12-06"
    $('#calTable').load("/inc/process.php", params, function(data){
    $(this).html(gbBig5(data));
    });
    }

    Do you have any clue to determine a single line URL with "/inc/process.php" without using the function?
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    An easy test would be simply try the URL "http://www.dailyfx.com.hk/inc/process.php"

    You can see immediately that this doesn't work, so the answer would seem to be "you can't do it" unless you can get the people at www.dailyfx.com.hk to help you out.

    Code:
    $('#calTable').load("/inc/process.php", params, function(data){
        $(this).html(gbBig5(data));
    });
    You are looking at jQuery.
    $('#calTable') fetches the element with id 'calTable' and returns it as a jQuery object, which provides a plethora of methods, including the load method.
    It passes three arguments to the load method, the third being a callback function to execute when the load function has finished doing it's job.

    Check the documentation for more info:
    jQuery selectors
    jQuery's load method: Load data from the server and place the returned HTML into the matched element.
    jQuery's html method: Set the HTML contents of each element in the set of matched elements.

    I'm not sure if this answers your question, so tell me how I'm doing..

    shlagish: Indeed that is all correct, but I don't think it's going to help him, because the file ("/inc/process.php") this is being loaded won't allow itself to be loaded from "foreign" URLs. That is, it's designed to be used only on that "www.dailyfx.com.hk" site.

    What he is (I think) trying to do is steal the content so he can use it either standalone on his own site or incorporate it into his site.

    But we shall see.

    Is the best he could get out of this is the results of that file getting run on that site. So it could have 1000 lines of code with results of {0,1} and the only result he might get is a 0 or 1.
