    Execute sql oracle query from a javascript script

    HI peers,
    i need to run a sql query fromjavascript onclick button
    and display data in a textarea .
    is this possible ?

    yes, its possible

    just make use of AJAX call to your back-end server to fetch the data from database, and then using DOM APIs, populate them in textarea

    Isn't that simple ??

    Well, start by learning some server-side system: PHP or JSP or ASP. Because you can't do it without that.

    After that, you could learn the basics of AJAX by looking at w3c schools tutorials. Or you could learn how to use AJAX from jQuery.

    But it's all pointless to worry about the JavaScript side of things until you know how to do the server-side coding.
