    Tiny Slideshow

    Michael Leigeber has developed a great slideshow script:

    http://sandbox.leigeber.com/javascript-slideshow/

    But it doesn't present a clickable link to the various photos in IE. Works fine in FX, Chrome, Opera.

    I don't see the problem. Help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Phil,

    I'm looking at this now, did you manage to get anywhere? Been playing around with the CSS but don't think it's that, gonna have a look at the javascript next.

    Let me know

    I could not resolve the problem. So, I restructured the links. See: http://www.lambifund.org

    What exactly does not work in IE? It seems to work perfectly for me, even in IE6.

    if you wrap the images in <a></a> then in ff etc when you hover over the main image a link image comes up and clicking on it follows the specified link.

    In IE6/7 the link does not appear

    Does it work on urs? Have you got an example site you can post?

    Ah that's the problem, I see. That doesn't work here either, but I can tell you why and how to fix it:
    For some reason IE won't fire onmouseovers on empty divs, unless the mouse is moved over a visible border. You can solve your problem by simply putting a transparent image in the background.

    Create a 1x1 pixel transparent .gif (I'll call it 'blank.gif'), put it where your .css is, change the lines
    Code:
    #imglink {position:absolute; height:306px; width:100%; z-index:100; opacity:.4; filter:alpha(opacity=40)}
    .linkhover {background:url(images/link.gif) center center no-repeat}
    to
    Code:
    #imglink {background:url(blank.gif) repeat; position:absolute; height:306px; width:100%; z-index:100; opacity:.4; filter:alpha(opacity=40)}
    .linkhover {background:url(images/link.gif) center center no-repeat !important}
    and it will work.
