    Where to learn JavaScript

I know HTML and most of PHP and now I want to add to my web programming knowledge and learn JavaScript. I know the structure and some Syntax but where's the best place?

I learn best by doing hands-on.

    Thanks for all your recommendations.

    Google offers many possibilities, including

    http://www.w3schools.com/JS/default.asp

Try and get hold of a book called "JavaScript in Easy Steps" by Mike McGrath.
    Published Computer Step www.ineasysteps.com.
It is an excellent beginner's instruction book, and I am sure will answer all your questions. (Third Edition April 2006 is £10.99 - but available from Amazon and bookshops across the world).

there's a javascript video tutorial at http://www.lynda.com that didn't put me to sleep. The instructor explains it in a way I can understand. There are a few freebies in each lesson to sample; I also suggest looking around online for a promotional code that will give you a free day.
