unable to send query params thru post

    Hi

    This is my requirement:

When a user clicks on a link, the query params get appended to the URL. Since the data is secure, it is required that the data shud be hidden. Also the URL shud be opened in a new window using the query params.

    This is what I tried:

I tried using post method and then tried opening a new window in the function called in the post. I am able to open a new window but I am unable to get the parameters from the parent page.

Any clues on how I can fulfill my requirement???

    Thanks!!!!

    Vamsi

I think it's not possible to send POST data without a form. You could use javascript and a form, and call the script to post the form onclick of link.

BTW, cross posting is against forum rules, see http://www.codingforums.com/postguide.htm

I want to do this same thing, parsing the url of an image as query string, to a new page on a different server and diaplaying the image there. This would be triggered by onclick of an image if thats possible?
