    Issues with z-index in Explorer

    Hi I am using a drop down menu made in Fireworks , just standard out of a box javascript menu ...

    then I got a script which sits in the the page which creates a simple image slideshow ...

    Now the drop down menu is suppose to be on top of the slideshow images
    and it works perfectly on all browser except explorer where it ends up below it so u can't click on the menu ... I know menu is set to z-index of 300

    does anyone have an idea why this is not working ??

    Here is the code for the slideshow ...

    <script type="text/javascript">

    At a guess you don't have the wmode set correctly on the object but since you posted the irrelevant Javascript rather than the relevant HTML that is only a guess but then there isn't much else it could be since with a wrong wmode any object will be given a zIndex of infinity.
