    Rating System/Poll

Hi, Im currently running a Universal Orlando Resort fansite and I wanted to include a rating system in which people could select from 1-5 stars, 5 being the highest, 1 being the lowest. Very much like a poll. They would be rating how much they liked an attraction. And also have an average rating that averages out what everyone entered so far.
    Examples:
http://mgmstudios.org/backlottour.html - Look on the bottom right where it says Rate The Backlot Tour.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381061/ - And IMDB does a similar thing as well.

I would think that this would just be some simple java code. Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks,

This can only be done using a server-side language such as Perl or PHP. JavaScript has no ability to read from or write to a file on the server.
There are quite a few examples at www.hotscripts.com and elsewhere.

Java is not at all the same thing as JavaScript (which is what this forum covers) in spite of the confusingly similar names.
