    HashMaps and websites

I am creating a game and forums, and I would like to have accounts for them. I have taken the CodeCademy Javascript course, but I am still not very good at it. I need help creating it, and would like some advice on creating HashMaps. It needs to be able to do the following:
    1) jQuery on the domain should be able to read and edit information on the file(s, as I have no idea if I'm going to make a separate file for each user, or have it as one) containing the HashMaps.
    2) The game, in Javascript, should be able to read the information.

When I say "read", obviously I mean it should see the HashMaps and be able to compare them.

just use script tags to point at your config. you would give them a variable name or wrap a callback call around the JSON in the external file.
