Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'msie' of undefined

I have a few jquery libraries loaded on my website, however when I updated the jQuery library to the latest 1.9.1, this error came along with it.

I googled around and already found it's because the .browser() was removed in 1.9 (deprecated in 1.3) so this is rendered useless. I heard that applying the jquery update patch would fix this, but I was just wondering if there was a better method to get the code up to date.

Yeah, the best method would be to rewrite your script to not rely on user agent sniffing. What are you doing anyway?

I've been working on a new website but some of the jQuery library extensions I have are not up to date with the jQuery library so they bugged out here and there. I ended up just reverting back to version 1.6.2 and figured I could mess with it another time after the site is finished (or close to it) and I have more time to play around with it.
