Calculation using radio buttons and a text box
I am working on something with several categories. For each category there are one of four options--three are just radio buttons with an assigned number, and the fourth would be a radio button with a text box for the user to choose a different number.
I want there to be a running total of what the user selects.
So for category A there are four choices, 1,2,3,or choose your own amount
Category B four choices, 2,4,6, or choose your own amount, etc, and then a running sum at the bottom, that changes whenever the user selects a radio button.
The problem I'm having is getting the textbox selection to be recognized as a number...how I've been doing it I keep getting NaN if that one is selected.
I know very very little about programming so any and all help would be wonderful.
