If this is a jQuery question you would do best to post it in the appropriate forum, that is Javascript Frameworks (Jquery, Mootools etc). Ask a mod to move you over.

Your link is messed but I think you mean this?

    http://www.w3schools.com/jquery/tryi...y_slide_toggle

The way jQuery works is you can select elements based on class, element type, element id, and more. So, if you just want to toggle one specific element, give that element an id and select on id.

    1) It does belong in the JavaScript section. It’s only that there is also a subforum specifically for JS frameworks (which jQuery happens to be). But don’t worry, you can report your own post and ask it to be moved accordingly or contact an admin directly.

    2) What you’re asking for is pretty simple. Look at http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Accordion, specifically at the section where it says “don’t use an accordion” if you wanna have the option of multiple open sections at once. For more complicated setups you can also use the each() function (the equivalent of a for loop in plain JS) to loop through the elements so that only a specific one is opening/closing. Also this thread may give you an idea.

Please don’t cross-post. I’ve already replied to your first thread before I saw this one. In the end people are replying here and there and waste their time because the other post may have been solved already. This is why you should rather ask for your original post to be moved.
