    Eclipse removing my .class files?

So I downloaded a jar and extracted its content into my source folder. Of course, all that was in the jar was class files. When I opened eclipse, for some reason it started to delete these .class files. How do I stop that?

Link the jar in completely as an external resource. File > Import > Archive File. You may need to set up the resource link as well for whatever particular project you are working on which you can do from the configuration for the project. Can't recall exactly what you need to do, but there should be a resources section in there.
