    How do I make my selection box wider ?

    How do I make my selection box wider ?

    Hello all!

    My selection box is cutting off some of the selected words

    Unusually, the problem occurs in Moz FF - not in IE

    The problem can be seen at:
    http://www.yodbod.com/ad_manager_a.php

    You will see that "London" - appears as "Londor"
    I thought the width should adjust automatically ?

    Anyway how do I make it wider - can someone please help ?

    ( BTW it would be nice to do it without the table - but my "GO" button
    keeps getting placed a bit higher if I just use divs )

    Here is my code for that bit:

    PHP Code:
    <div style='width:300px; position:absolute;left:510px; top:300px;'>
    <form name="menu1" action ='ad_manager_a.php' method = 'POST'>
    <div><input type="hidden" name="first_ad" value="yes"></div>
    <table >
    <tr>
    <td><select name="x_city">
    <?php
    foreach($cities as $field => $value){

         if (
    $N_city == $field){
                 echo

                 <option value = {$field} selected= \"selected\" >$value </option>"

                 }
    // endif

    else {
                 echo
    "<option value = {$field}>$value</option>"
                 }
    // end else
    }// end for loop
    ?>
    </select></td>

    <td><select name="section">
    <?php
    foreach($sections as $field => $value){

         if (
    $section == $field){
                 echo

                 <option value = {$field} selected= \"selected\" >$value </option>"

                 }
    // endif

    else {
                 echo
    "<option value = {$field}>$value</option>"
                 }
    // end else
    }// end for loop
    ?>
    </select></td>

    <td border = "0"  colspan = "2" ><center><button type="submit">
    <img alt="b_go (1K)" src="b_go.gif" height="18" bgcolor = "silver" width="40" /></button></center></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </form>
    </div>

    Many thanks

    Code:
    select {
    width: 200px;
    }
    you can style it with css. tried on IE6 FF and Opera and seems to work fine
    Stop making things so hard on yourself.
