    Question Help Please!!!!!

I am trying to figure out how to make a link that when you click on it it opens a new window, instead of loading in the window that you clicked the link on. I have tried looking at my HTML books and everything but I can't find anything! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Code:
    <a href="" target="_blank">link</a>
Generally, people don't like it. It's one of the most annoying things on the internet.

Actually, I tried putting that on another part of my site and what it does is take me back to the homepage of my site every time! Could it be the website I'm using doesn't allow it?

Reread Ranger's post carefully. Compare it to what you have tried and to what is actually posted. Notice anything wrong?
