    Building tabs for a webpage

Im trying to figure out how i could just do 2 simple things.

Id like a row of tabs, when a tab is clicked, it goes to a URL.

Then, based off what the URL is, id like to have the active tab a different color then the rest of the tabs.

    Example:

    a notes page www.domain.com/notes/

On this page, i could have my tab strip, then if you clicked "Inbox" it would take you to www.domain.com/notes/inbox/ and the Inbox tab would be highlighted.

    Tabs

im just looking to create regular tabs
What do you figure "regular tabs" should look like on a web page, and how would they be implemented?

Every single tab effect you'll likely encounter is a form of nav bar / menu, with styles / images applied to create a tab effect.
    Regards,
    Ronald.
