Am I floating things wrong here?

I think I'm in float hell... I can't seem to get this page positioned correctly. I hope it's obvious what I'm trying to do. I just want everything to line up....

    Here's the problem page:

Here's the closes thing I have to one that works like it should:

Can any shed some light on this?

    Thanks!

    Remove the left margin from the #singlecontent_letters CSS, then make your footer clear:both;

Wow, thanks that helped a lot, but I still can't get my "container_letters" div to extend down to the bottom of the page. Can you help with that too?

    Thanks again.

What are you trying to get to extend to the bottom? You have a background image in #container_letters but thats just that little letter.

Maybe this page will give you a better idea... although it's formatting is screwed up too.

    http://judyludy.com/wp/archives/cate...bloid-teasers/

The BG image that is aligned to the bottom of the container div is that colored bottom curve. The singlecontent div is within the container_* div, so shouldn't the container div extend all the way down past wher the singlecontent div ends? That's what is confusing me.

Also, I have no idea what this is doing in IE for Windows, I'm concentrating on Firefox and Safari for now. Then I'll tweak for IE fixes later.

    Thanks!

Okay it works in IE, that means there is a clearing issue somewhere. Let me see what I can do. In the mean time you have an extra } in your CSS comments. Okay, place   inside of your footer div.

Sorry, I didn't quite understand that last one... what line is my extra } in? Also, where exactly do I add that nbsp;?

    Sorry, still learning here... ;-)

Add the   in your footer (like I said) like so

    Simple.

Got it.. that was simple.. but the pages are still not looking like they should. The colored bottom part is still not showing up in Firefox or Safari, although the top sure is aligned a lot nicer. Thank you.

Any idea how to get the container_letters div to extend down to the bottom of the page so it surrounds the whole singlecontent div?

after the closing div for your content add this
    Code:
    <div style="clear:both;line-height:0px;font-size:1px;">&nbsp;</div>
